Ask a question

The best place to ask is the #help channel on our Discord server. The Perfetto team and community answer there, usually within a few hours. Include your Perfetto version, the platform you are tracing and, if you can, the trace itself.

If you prefer email, you can also ask on our public mailing list.

Googlers: use Discord too, unless your question involves internal-only details. For those, use YAQS or our internal mailing list. If your enquiry is truly urgent see this page.

Report a bug

For bugs affecting any part of Perfetto except Chrome tracing, use GitHub issues.

For bugs affecting Chrome tracing, use http://crbug.com Component:Speed>Tracing label:Perfetto.

Googlers: use the internal bug tracker go/perfetto-bugs.

Follow development

• Releases are announced in the #announcements channel on Discord, on GitHub releases and on the mailing list.
• Design proposals (RFCs) are discussed in GitHub Discussions. New RFCs, issues and discussions are also posted to the #github channel on Discord.
